Frequently asked questions


What’s included?

Prices are per person in Euros per week. It includes: rental of yacht, fuel, yacht equipment, port fees, all taxes, end cleaning, dinghy, outboard engine, sheets, blankets, towels, stereo and cockpit speakers.

What’s not included?

Water and energy supply at the port. Estimated around 10-20 euros per yacht. The price also does not include food and drinks, you and your boatmates will be able to purchase groceries on the day of arrival to stock the boat with food and drinks. We will also go ashore frequently for meals.

What are the accommodations like?

Sailboats are very comfortable. You will share a cabin with one other person with a double bed. Cabins have small closets and cubbies for your clothes. Each boat will have bathrooms and showers. Sailboats have each a full kitchen and dining table below. They have refrigerators, electricity (12V DC), stereos, and other amenities that you would expect in conventional lodging.

How much time do we spend on the boat each day?

Distances in between the islands are not very long. Some days will involve about 1 to 2 hours of sailing, while usually the last day is about 6 hours but it is a great days sailing! All of the boats in our group travel together, allowing for amazing social activities with a large group of really fun people.

Who is on my boat?

If you cannot fill a yacht with your friends you will be sharing a boat with other cool people. It would be ideal if you could bring friends to fill a boat. We will happily assign your group so you get to stay on the same boat. Bookings are made per person.

What will the weather be?

The weather during our trip will be absolutely perfect. It almost never rains in the summer months.

What about communication?

Most cell phones work in Greece. The VHF radio on our boats is used to communicate with other boats and for emergency. Internet access might be available at certain restaurants. Your Blackberry/iPhone is likely to work (3G).

Is it possible to book a spot on a boat if I am traveling by myself?

Definitely!

Can I stay on the same boat as my friends?

Of course! After booking your trip, please send us an e-mail (info@sailingparty.com) with a list of your friends so we can arrange that.

What travel documents are required?

While travelling to to Greece do not forget to check if your passport is valid. Depending on your nationality, most probably you do not need a visa for Greece. To check you can visit this website.

After the booking when do you need to pay for the yacht?

You need to pay 30% within 7 days after the booking.

What time should we arrive on the first day?

We recommend that you arrive as early as possible in order to get all of your paper work and food shopping done in time to sail in the evening. Check-ins starts at 14:00pm.

When is the check out of the boats?

For the trips lasting 7 days, you need to check out of your boat before 9.00 am Saturday morning. Check-outs for our 3day trips happens Sunday noon.

Do you need to have sailing experience to participate on the SailingParty?

No, but this will be a great chance for you to learn to sail with our experienced skippers. You may be asked to help with pulling ropes or holding fenders but it is all easy work!
